About me
Avid hiker, author of 43 books. Established FloridaHikes.com 17 years ago to keep Floridians up to date on new public lands and trails after I had a dozen books in print. Have completed the entire Florida National Scenic Trail plus thousands of miles of other hiking trails in Florida and beyond. My husband John Keatley and I met on the Florida Trail during a hiking event and took off to the Appalachian Trail to do a thru-hike. Life had other plans, but we learned teamwork! We've been inseparable since. I pivoted to fiction during Covid and have completed my first novel, historical fiction set in 1957-58 during the International Geophysical Year, am presently shopping for an agent. Big, big, big fan of hiking to unusual geologic formations-- the first series of books I wrote was on earth science.
