Write Your Own Smoky Mountain Story: Gatlinburg and Sevierville roll out the welcome mat with light adventure and high-elevation inspiration. You will experience scenic hikes, immersive wildlife encounters and the unique mountain culture that defines the region. Throw clay at Fowler’s Pottery, ride horseback at Sugarlands, and hike scenic trails with expert guides in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Take in the new mountaintop theme park at SkyLand Ranch and spot native species at Seven Islands State Birding Park, a haven for birders and nature lovers. Evenings include dinner at The Peddler and Old Forge Distilling Co., mountaintop magic at Anakeesta, and a relaxed tasting at Old Mountain Winery.

Day 1 - Aug. 14 GATLINBURG

    Explore the charm of downtown Gatlinburg, where the Smoky Mountains meet a vibrant mix of local shops, eateries, and attractions.   • 4:00 p.m. Fowler's Clay Works Pottery Class
    Discover your inner artist with a hands-on pottery class at Fowler’s Clay Works in Gatlinburg! Whether you're a beginner or just looking for a fun, creative experience, their expert instructors will guide you through shaping and glazing your own one-of-a-kind piece. It’s the perfect way to unwind, get a little messy, and take home a handmade Smoky Mountain memory.
  • 5:00 p.m. Dinner at the Peddler
    Expect a short wait at this beloved Gatlinburg steakhouse — it’s worth it! While you wait, take a stroll along the river or browse the nearby shops for Smoky Mountain souvenirs. The cozy atmosphere and signature cuts at The Peddler make it a must-visit for any trip to Gatlinburg.
  • 7:00 p.m. After-dinner drinks at Old Mountain Winery
    Enjoy a true taste of the Smokies at Old Mountain Winery, where Southern charm meets handcrafted wine. Sample a variety of locally made blends, from sweet fruit wines to bold reds, all in a relaxed, welcoming setting right in the heart of Gatlinburg.

Day 2 - Aug. 15
  • 9:00 a.m.  Breakfast at Crockett's Breakfast Camp
    Kick off your Gatlinburg morning with a hearty, mountain-sized meal at Crockett’s Breakfast Camp. Known for its rustic charm and legendary cinnamon rolls, this local favorite serves up comfort food with a side of Smoky Mountain history. Come hungry—you won’t leave disappointed!
  • 11:00 a.m. Meet with National Park Rep.
  • Noon Lunch at Smith and Son Corner Kitchen
    Located in downtown Gatlinburg offers hearty Southern-style American dishes with stunning Smoky Mountain views. Enjoy favorites like smoked meatloaf, award-winning burgers, and signature cocktails in a cozy, rustic setting. A local favorite for comfort food and friendly vibes!
  • 1:30 p.m. Hike with Smoky Mountain Guides
    There will be two different hikes. One will be lighter and the other a little harder.
  • 6:00-8:00 p.m. Dinner at The Cherokee Grill
    Located in the heart of Gatlinburg, Cherokee Grill offers upscale mountain lodge vibes with a menu full of Southern-inspired favorites. From perfectly grilled steaks to fresh seafood and signature sides, it’s the ideal spot for a cozy, elevated dining experience after a day in the Smokies.
  • 8:00-10:00 p.m. Anakeesta
    Step into a world of wonder at Astra Lumina, Anakeesta’s enchanted nighttime trail. This immersive experience blends lights, sound, and storytelling to guide you on a cosmic journey through the stars—all set high above the Smokies. It's a must-see after-dark adventure that brings the mountain to life in a whole new way.

Day 3 - Aug. 16
  • 9:00 a.m. Breakfast at Donut Friar and Coffee and Company
    Tucked away in the heart of downtown, The Village offers old-world charm and unique shops worth exploring—and no visit is complete without a stop at the Donut Friar. Follow the scent of fresh-baked donuts and pastries to this cozy gem, serving up sweet treats and rich coffee since 1969. It’s the perfect way to start (or end) your Gatlinburg stroll.
  • 11:00-12:30 p.m. Horseback riding at Sugarlands
  • Lunch via Visit Sevierville
  • 1:00 p.m. Check in at the Inn at Apple Valley
  • 2:00 p.m. TBD Smoky Mountain Arena (may change)
    Tennessee Walking Horse Experience. This is a venue for training and events.
  • 4:00 p.m. Rainforest Adventures Discovery Zoo
    Discovery zoo focused on conservation and education. Check out the new sloth experience.
  • 7:00 p.m. Dinner at Iron Forge Brewing Co.
    Brewery and restaurant on the banks of the Little Pigeon River. Tour the brewery, enjoy dinner, and sample a flight of beer by the firepit.

Day 4 - Aug. 17 SEVIERVILLE
  • 8:00 a.m. Breakfast at Applewood Farmhouse
    Eat breakfast at a working apple orchard in the historic farmhouse.
  • 9:30 a.m. Tour Apple Barn & Cider Mill Property
    Tour the grounds with a member of the founding Kilpatrick family and learn how they turned a hobby into one of the most popular stops in the Smokies.
  • 11:00 a.m. Seven Islands State Birding Park
    Hiking and outdoor fun at Seven Islands State Birding Park.
  • 12:00 noon Picnic Lunch at Seven Islands
  • 3:00 p.m. BREAK - return to hotel
  • 5:00 p.m. SkyLand Ranch Experience & Dinner
    Visit Sevierville's new mountaintop theme park featuring miniature ranch animals and spectacular views. Also enjoy dinner.

Day 5 - Aug. 18
  • 8:00 a.m.Buffalo Breakfast Co.
    Breakfast & Brunch options are available at Sevierville's newest breakfast spot.
  • 10:00 a.m. American Eagle Foundation
    Tour the new headquarters for the American Eagle Foundation and learn how they're conserving eagles and other birds of prey.
  • 12:00 noon Old Tennessee Distilling Co.
    Sample shine (and other spirits) and learn about the moonshine making process.
  • 1:00 p.m. Depart for Chattanooga
